Computer Training Program

Human Life Development and Research Centre (HLDRC) took over the charge in 2013 from Loyola Vocational Training Centre which was established in the year 1994 at Shanti Sadan, Siliguri which was embarked to impart quality vocational and skill courses for the youth of tea gardens in Terai region of Darjeeling district. Since 2013 HLDRC is playing a very vital role for enhancing Computer skills of the students of weaker section as it is an integral part of our daily existence. Till now HLDRC since its establishment year 2013, has provided its support to approximately 422 youth of the tea garden village of North Bengal region, for enhancement of their Computer skills and explore themselves in the digital world. From the beginning itself HLDRC has been very connected with the grass root level of tea garden community to give them hand holding support in all respect. Now, when there is a rapid revolutionary change in the life of people because of the impact of urbanization in the lives of rural area. For these it has become very important for the youth to adapt themselves with the modern technologies. Since they belong to Tea Garden community where they hardly manage their daily life, it becomes all most impossible for them to manage the expenses to enhance their computer skill. Keeping this in view HLDRC provides the Computer Training at a subsidized fee and even free in some of the genuine cases.
HLDRC keeping in mind the status of the students of tea garden took the initiative to provide the Computer skill so that they can fight with the present time and can go out to explore the world with confident. The Computer course was not conducted in the year 2021 due to the impact of COVID-19.
